Donald L. Robbins, Jr.

Don L. Robbins      Don Robbins is a founding partner of Fischer, Evans & Robbins, Ltd. His law practice areas involve various areas of civil defense litigation including insurance defense, insurance coverage, premises liability, political subdivisions, construction litigation, as well as appellate work.

 

      Don was born in Bradford, Pennsylvania in 1966, moved to Massillon, Ohio in 1970 and graduated from Perry High School in 1985. He attended The Ohio State University and University of Akron for his undergraduate studies and earned a B.S. degree in Accounting in 1991. In addition, Don was a member of the 179th Tactical Airlift Group of the Ohio Air National Guard based in Mansfield, Ohio for six years. He served in the Civil Engineering Squadron and was honorably discharged in 1991 after obtaining the rank of Staff Sergeant.

 

 

      Prior to entering the legal field, Don was an Assistant Vice President of the Internal Audit Department at FirstMerit Corporation in Akron, Ohio. During his eight-plus years with FirstMerit, Don successfully passed all parts of Ohio's Certified Public Accountant examination on his first attempt in 1998. He also earned designation as a Certified Bank Auditor.

 

     In 2002, Don obtained his J.D. cum laude from the University of Akron School of Law after completing the evening law program while working full-time at FirstMerit. He began his legal career at a Canton area law firm in 2003. In 2010, Don became a licensed title insurance agent in the State of Ohio.

 

     Don is a member of the Stark County, Ohio State, and American Bar Associations. He is admitted to the Ohio Bar and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

 

      Don resides in Perry Township with his wife Colette and their three children, Kamryn, Tori, and Christian. In his spare time, Don enjoys spending time with his family and following his favorite sports teams including the Buckeyes, Browns, and Indians.
